To access the Color Picker, simply click on either the Foreground or Background color. You can use the Color Picker to change the foreground or background color. The foreground and background colors are used together in the Gradient tool. When you use the Eraser tool, you use the background color. Whenever you use the Brush, Paint, or Bucket tools, you use the foreground color. These squares - or the foreground and background colors - are located toward the bottom left side of your Elements window in the toolbar, as shown below. For now, it's important that you learn how the foreground and background colors are used. We'll learn how to do this later in this article.
